The opportunity
Maintaining engagement in wellbeing initiatives can be difficult across large, distributed global workforces.
Kiwa operates across more than 30 countries, with employees working across diverse roles, environments, and schedules.
Creating a wellbeing initiative that could engage employees consistently across corporate, technical, and operational teams required an approach that was simple, flexible, and achievable within real working conditions.
Kiwa wanted an approach that could:
Support engagement across multiple countries and teams
Fit into busy and varied work environments
Encourage sustainable daily movement without adding pressure
Strengthen connection across a distributed workforce
The approach
Designed to make daily movement achievable across diverse teams, countries, and working environments.
Kiwa implemented the 15 Minute Exercise Challenge during Global Safety Week as a six-week, team-based program designed to support sustainable daily movement across its global workforce.
Rather than relying on motivation or ideal routines, the program focused on small, achievable daily actions employees could realistically maintain alongside busy schedules and varied work environments.
Participants:
Committed to 15 minutes of daily activity
Chose activities that fit their roles, schedules, and environments
Participated in small teams to build accountability and support
Tracked activity through a simple online platform
Teams were ranked on consistency, not intensity
The program was supported by regular communication and engagement prompts to help maintain momentum across teams and countries throughout the challenge.

Participant expereince
Participants consistently described the challenge as achievable, motivating, and easy to maintain across busy and varied work environments.
“Committing to just 15 minutes a day was realistic and surprisingly motivating. The daily logging kept me accountable, and I noticed improvements not only in my physical health, but also in my energy and mood.”
“Seeing colleagues from across the world sharing their activity made it feel like we were all part of something bigger. It helped me build a routine that I’m still following now.”
“The challenge turned out to be the perfect catalyst to bring our ‘I am fit for work’ message to life - simple, accessible, motivating, and genuinely engaging. It was easy to implement, required minimal administration, and delivered clear outcomes. I would highly recommend it to organisations looking for a practical and effective way to support employee wellbeing.”
